Animation director: Jac Hamman
Jac Hamman is an animator, illustrator and independent filmmaker living and working in Cape Town. He has worked at some of the top animation studios in South Africa on feature films, series and commercials. He has presented at Annecy International Animation Festival in France and most recently his short film 'Vroegherfs' has been selected for competition and will be screened at Monstra International Animation Festival in Portugal.
Jac will serve as animation director on the 2D animated film.
Co-director: Daniel Snaddon
Daniel Snaddon is an animation director and story-board artist of Scottish-South African and Chinese-Australian descent. He grew up very close to the Kruger National Park, one of the largest wildlife preserves in Africa, and was educated in Johannesburg, Brisbane and Paris.
Most recently, Daniel co-directed the BBC Christmas special Stick Man for Triggerfish Animation Studios. The film was garnered great reviews in the UK press and has been seen by over 9.2 million people over the Christmas period.
Daniel will be working as a story editor on the Kariba graphic novel, and will serve as co-director on the 2D animated film.
Campaign Manager: Sarah Scrimgeour
Sarah Scrimgeour is an independent 3d artist and animator from Johannesburg, whose student film: Big Game (2013) was a viral hit online, raking up over half a million views on Youtube and Vimeo. Having spent the past 3 years as a freelancer working on commercial projects in Cape Town, she is currently heading up the compositing team at Triggerfish for Magic Light Pictures animated adaption of Roald Dahls’ Revolting Rhymes.
Sarah will be managing the Kickstarter campaign, and cracking the whip to ensure timely delivery of the goods to its backers.
