Daniel Clarke is a Cape Town based artist with an excellent illustration record.

Although he clearly has a passion for marvel characters, his work includes a wide variety of themes.

A director, conceptual artist, illustrator and production designer who has built a reputation in South Africa over the past 8 years as a leader in his field. Completely self-taught, at the age of 23, Daniel was made production designer at Triggerfish Animation Studios on their second feature film, Khumba (Anthony Silverston, 2013).

Since then he has worked as an illustrator and art director for international feature films such as Chronicle (Josh Trank, 2012); The Giver (Philip Noyce, 2014); and Chappie (Neil Blomkamp, 2015). Most recently Daniel was the art director of the BBC animated Christmas special Stick Man. He has also illustrated children’s books and trading cards for properties such as Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K series.

He currently lives in Cape Town South Africa, and is hoping to focus on Kariba full time for most of 2016.

I had the opportunity to witness him in action while he was contracted as illustrator of the acclaimed production of "The Giver", This cemented me as a life-long fan of this extraordinary talent.
