Meeting the Vivacious Bonnie Lee

We start where we left off on the previous blog post, the "Class Act" period.

This is where Steven met the-. He is at a loss for words when he needs to describe her. "The glorious" Bonnie-Lee Bouman he says. He uses "glorious" because she would enter with stature, power, and this fortitude. She knew how to train actors. She spoke to them in ways they were unaccustomed to but better understood. This is when he realised the importance of training.

He proudly reached the Top 7. Not many people can say they went that far (especially if their background was only stage).

He was discovered about three weeks before he was voted out, by Massimo, a modeling agent who saw him from a building above. Massimo's assistant invited him upstairs and as he walked through the doors, Massimo sighed and said, “You looked taller from up here”. Steven stood there awkwardly because he wasn’t sure what was even happening. Massimo then asked him a couple of questions and took him any way. Then he banked his first commercial job and it all went up hill from there.

He was suddenly highly in demand as a model.

Against all odds he even did SA Fashion Week! And yes, he was the shortest person there by far so they added wooden blocks in his shoes. “I was pretty much wearing weird heels” he tells me.
