The School in the Countryside

Steven went to Uplands College, a small, rural school in White River, Mpumalanga. The furthest away one could get from a big city. He went from getting appalling grades to top achievements in this environment. He truly disliked all schools but he realised that Uplands was great for him, in comparison to previous school.
He made some good memories there: Snatched a senior's girlfriend in his first month, kissed a girl under a waterfall & had his first serious relationship with all the drama you could think of and even became prefect.

Photo 5. He met Lee Wilkin, a girl from Johannesburg who came to Uplands in a later year & shared a Co-ed Hostel with Steven. They got along by default as they were both city kids in a farm school, but quickly became very close. Lee and Steven stuck together in Matric (Grade 12) as they knew each other’s families and would always look out for each other.
Ken White is a blue-eyed, blond haired, man of muscle and true to his name; he was smooth with the ladies. Ken and Steve would party till all hours of the morning, from Hazyview to Nelspruit. Steven once drove up from Johannesburg to surprise Ken for his Birthday after he told him he was unable to do so. They partied till sunrise and ended up on the roof of some farm house getting burnt by the sun. Later they found a water tank and climbed in, to cool off.
